Ye Old Plough House in Balphan, Essex was host to the Wedding of Amanda and Grant Day.
On the day, we could not have asked for better weather. The venue was stunning and the team and I were able to take full advantage of the natural light, beautiful grounds and interiors.
It was a great honour to capture all those small, intimate moments earlier in the day – the exquisite dress, the shoes (very important!) and Amanda and her girls getting ready. All those behind-the-scenes preparations, including some with the little VIP’s too.
Great weather also allowed us to catch Grant and his guys looking very cool in their sunnies, sharing a beer and some laughs, and the colourful guests looking very fine indeed. The sun definitely brought out everyone’s smiles and this was evident throughout the entire day.
The outdoor ceremony for Amanda and Grant was picture-perfect, they both looked completely stunning against the backdrop of beautiful trees and a pretty flowered arch. I particularly love the confetti shots which came after, catching the joy of the newlyweds brilliantly and even the more formal shots that followed were full of warmth and smiles.
It was a pleasure to have some time to photograph Amanda and Grant just after becoming Mr and Mrs Day, around the grounds of the venue. To say we were spoilt is an understatement – every corner we turned provided another magical setting and frame for this lovely pair. But then it was time to get on and party!
Many more fun moments followed, particularly the speeches and the tossing of the bouquet, before the cutting of the beautiful pared-back cake and
With the day passing in the blink of an eye but we hope Amanda and Grant will treasure our commemoration of their celebrations for many years to follow.
